Lately

I've been neglecting my blog...meh. I'm trying so hard to keep up with everything! My life seems to be getting busier and busier. Days go by faster. And BAM. There goes a month...just like that. Ack. But a lot has happened!
A couple weeks ago my baby decided to FINALLY clap! In the beginning of the month he clapped randomly here and there for a few seconds.. and of course when i see it and pull out my phone to record it, he'd stop. Then out of no where, we come home from having dinner with a friend, we play for a few before bedtime..and i wanted to continue how to practice 'clapping',"1,2,3,Clap!" on repeat..and it happened~ he clapped on demand! O.O! I thought i was dreaming..cause i've been trying to get him to clap for the longest time~ and everytime i'd say "clap", he'd come and clap MY hands. But there it was..my baby clapped! Yea, he's 17 months and JUST started to clap..but hey, HE CLAPPED! I had such a proud mommy moment! It's probably one milestone i'll never forget! Shooot~ i can't even remember him taking his first steps....already! ugh. That part just happened way too quick. But this, this i will remember :) He even started doing peek-a-boo! It's so cute when he hides behind his cute lil hands..hehe. He's just really delayed in those areas. Not in motor skills tho...that, he's way ahead of. He still doesn't point or imitate OR talk yet so communicating is a lil difficult. Especially for Max since he can't tell me what he wants. We also went to a speech therapist to get him assessed. Hubs and i have been thinking he has autism, but our ped (and family friend) told us not to worry and was confident he doesn't have it. We have our very first session with the therapist on Thurs.! Hopefully this will help all of us and maybe i can learn a thing or two to guide my baby into learning and reaching his milestones his way.
Oh! And Max's grandparents flew in from Burma a couple weeks ago so we've been pretty busy with them too! There has been LOTS of family time this month, which is really nice!
Whew. Summer is flying by! I can't wait for Fall! I love seeing all the fall items starting to come out at stores! I could use some cool, crisp air too...mmmmm...sweater weather! ;D

Happy Birthday, America!

We went to Downtown Annapolis for 4th of July. This is officially Max's 1st July 4th celebration! Last year Max's grandparents flew in from Myanmar on July 4th so we didn't get the chance to take him to see the firework... Max had lots of fun seeing all the cool cars driving in the parade (of course -_-).

We let him out of the stroller..he wanted to run around EVERYWHERE. So it was hard to take pics of him. *boo*
Then we went down near the dock to find our lil space to view the fireworks... And with our busy toddler, it was hard to keep him still. He didn't want to sit down for 2 sec! But this mama was prepared for it..hehe. He'll do anything for orange and grapes! So that is all he ate while we waited for darkness...
And when we ran out, the phone is always handy! haha.
My baby has finally witnessed his 1st fireworks! :)

Happy Birthday, America!

Life according to my iPhone: June 2013

July? How the heck did you creep up on me so fast?
June was a heck of a month! Lots of water time for Max, weird weather, lots of rain, quality family time, fun birthdays, couponing, learning to use a spoon, cheesing for the camera, car chasing, cooling off with delicious ice cream, outdoor play, bubbles, family walks, 3rd haircut, discovering storyville, lots of reading, and yummy food! Sai and I even had a baby free day to go out to the movies! :D

Fun times.

Weekend Recap: Virginia

We went down south to Virginia over the weekend to visit my Mom, Step Dad, and Grandparents. And traveling with a toddler....AHHH! There was not enough snacks or entertainment to keep this guy happy! Not to mention driving down in traffic the WHOLE way down (and back)! Took us 2 hours longer to get to our destination, but we made it! Whew. But we had fun this weekend just hanging out at my Grandparent's house and eating yummy Korean food made by my Grandma (she's the best)!
We didn't get the chance to go down to Virginia Beach this trip, but we did get to go to Yorktown Beach! It was nice and small and pretty peaceful! And of course we are out during Max's nap time... I usually let him sleep when he naps but this weekend i had to wake him up so he didn't miss out on anything (sorry max)! I let Max nap for an hour and woke him up so he can play in the water~ So the first few pics are cranky pics from waking up..lol. He eventually warmed up and splashed, splashed, splashed! :)
Excuse the ugly pic of my face.. i was hot and walking and taking pics at the same time. lol.

We had an amazing time spending time with family and learning a few new recipe from my Grandma!
Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend! :)
