Life according to my iPhone: May 2014

Good God! How is it June already? And where did half the year go? 

May has been amazing! And my baby has been on a learning streak! I couldn't be more proud of him! After so many days worry and stressing about his development, he's picking up thing real FAST! As soon as he turned 2, he learned the alphabets. Then numbers! He's even started counting up to 20 recently! I didn't even teach him~ We taught him 1-10 but nothing more than that! He also knows his shapes (square, triangle, circle, rectangle, oval, heart, diamond)! And just this past week and a half he picked up colors (red, orange, yellow, green, purple, blue, pink, black, and white)! And it literally took me 5 minutes to teach! It's amazing! I've now started to combine both colors and shapes/number/alphabets to the mix! Oh, and he's starting to put 2 words together! He still doesn't use his words on his own but i'm sure we'll get there soon! He's been chatting up a storm lately~ just babbling. And singing! I've noticed singing helps. He LOVES singing ABC~ lol. He skips a few letters here and there but he know the melody. It's so cute! I just want to remember all the times he's sitting in the cart at Target and just busting out his ABCs out loud! :)

But anyways, to recap May... We were busy visiting Grandma in VA and spent a few hours in VA beach (hated the water..guess the tides were too big for him and got scared), also spent my 1st Mother's day with her and went to church with her that day, my lil sister helped me shoot some maternity/family pics (thank you, thank you!), celebrated my niece, Chloe's 3rd birthday (time flies to damn fast~), Max got his 1st pair of Crocs (man~ they're pricey O.O), gave Max his 1st, well 2nd haircut..by me! His hair grows too fast and kids cut ain't cheap~ it adds up, so i gave it another go at it and i must say, i'm not too bad! Lol. I also had my glucose test and passed! And Max's favorite book this month is Little Lost Owl... we read it SOOOO many times! He's even memorized the story. And actually that's the book that helped him put 2 words together. It's about a little owl looking for his Mama. So he'll point at the animal and say "this a mama?" and i reply, "is that his mama?".. Max shakes his head and giggles, "Noooo~"I say "who is it?" And he'll point and say "it's a bear!" Or rabbit, etc. Very cute. I'd definitely add this book to your library! It's short, but fun, and has cute illustrations! 

I think that's about it! I'll try and keep up with blogging~ I just want to write down and keep track of everything this busy boy is getting into lately!

Life according to my iPhone: February 2014

What a month February was. So much junk food and birthdays celebrated! One of them being Max's! He's 2! T W O?! *sigh* Those 2 precious years went by SO quick. I heard other moms say it, but now that i just celebrated my son's 2nd birthday...it really did! The newborn stage, feeding every 2-3 hours, late night feedings, wacky nap schedules....it all flies by. By 2 everything seems to seems more routine and you start to get a hang of things. Of course it comes with more challenges. Terrible twos, temper tantrums, bribes, messy house with toys e v e r y w h e r e. But the naps are better (2-3hr! Yes!), we're communicating better, and i know what he wants. He still doesn't talk yet tho. He says a few words but no sentences.. i'm not sure if i should freak out about that. Cause you know, i've been a worry wart about his development this whole time after he turned one. But somehow he seems to pick it up....just REALLY late. I'll give it a few more months and see if he starts to pick up more words and if not, i'll have to think about taking him to see the speech therapist again. Everyone is telling me not to worry tho..that he'll start talking when he's ready.. and this and that to try and assure me. So i'll try and keep it together for a lil while. Ack. And i'll post some of his birthday pics soon when i get the time to edit them~

*sigh* And now March. This winter has overstayed it's welcome. It snowed the other day (again) and

i'm just really looking forward to Spring! Hopefully by my birthday (spring baby..hehe) the weather will be a lil more nicer. Oh and daylights saving this weekend! We definitely need more daylight! :)

Week 14

How far along: 14 Weeks

Gender: Don't know yet! 4 more weeks!

Weight gain: 5 lbs. oops!

Maternity clothes: Oh yes!

Stretch marks: Yes, but from my pregnancy with Max.

Belly button in or out: In

Sleep: Sleep much better than a couple weeks ago! Not as much crazy dreams. Still get up in the middle of the night tho. meh.

Best moment this week: My Baby turned 2!! Valentine's day, My lil sister turned 28, and we had Max's 2nd birthday party!

Worst moment this week: Nothing really. Except some sciatic pains..it sucks~

Miss anything: Coffee and tea! Especially since it's cold out.

Movement: No. But i  T H I N K  i can start feeling some flutters here and there.

Cravings: Fruits and cobb salad from Chick Fil A! hehe. I've been getting it a couple times a week so far xD it's so gooooood!

Queasy or sick: None.

Looking forward to: Feeling an actual flutter and kicks! I keep freaking out cause i don't feel like i'm pregnant without all the kicking cause i got a lot of that from Max. lol. It definitely reassured me that he was okay when i was pregnant with him.

And for Valentine's Day, I had a little fun with my sister's Cricut! Hehe. How cute is my lil heart breaker?! *sigh*

And I was craving some fruits this week! MMm~ but lil man ate most of my grapes and all of my blueberries! He's lucky he's cute!

And on Valentine's day we started the day at the PED office for Max's 2 year checkup! We didn't use the baby scale. We used a big boy one, where you stand up and get weighed AND measured! Made me cry a lil. lol. He's growing up so fast! Max weighed in at 34LBS. and 35INCHES. He even had blood drawn like a big boy...from the arm...that kind of freaked me out. And one shot to the thigh. He did good. :)

And my oh so romantic hubby got me a few goodies! He's not so great with surprises.. obviously if you leave the house on V-Day for no reason, I'll know what you're doing...haha.

He tries. And i love him for it! He even took me to the Korean restaurant for dinner! MMM. Man knows what Mama likes! ;D

Life according to my iPhone: January 2014

January already gone. This winter seems so longgg this year. And c o l d ! Max and I are getting restless and running out of ideas to do at home! We can't wait for warmer weather and fun activities outdoor! 

So far 2014 has been a blessing. With work and with Max. I know he's a little delayed in speech but he has slowly shown lots of improvements! Which i am very relieved about. And even tho he may be delayed in speech and communication, he is very good at sorting colors, shapes, letters, and matching! He's been surprising me lately and i LOVE it! :)

And can you believe my baby boy is turning 2?! I can't! 

Blessed

Life is beautiful. Through the good and the bad...life is beautiful. Through everything i have been through, time heals all wound. You grow, you forgive, you move on, and just live. It's not as easy as saying it.. but there are brighter days~ even through the struggles, i am thankful. Without the pain, the tears, the laughs..i wouldn't be who i am now.

I'm just thankful for all the family and friends in my life. Thank you for being you and being there. And it looks like i have more to be thankful for........... i tried the digital test again after getting a negative a couple days ago. I'm so excited and nervous!! I'm already feeling the bloat and sleepiness. Must. Stay. Awake! I have a toddler to keep up with! Hehe.

And my lil monster is trying to walk down the stairs on his own! Still trying.He's still isn't too confident ..but one step at a time, buddy. Mama is in no rush for you to be THAT independent! ;D

Happy Thanksgiving, folks! Eat and laugh lots!

21 month update and a day with Max

Hard to believe he is 21 months and soon he'll be 2?! He's definitely looking more and more like a big boy and the baby seems to be fading away. He's definitely understanding us more and trying to communicate his needs and wants. Still no talking but he sure does babble more! He does say a few words. "Umma" (mom in Korean), but i don't think he understands it yet. he just knows how to say it...lol. "Help"(sounds more like "hap"), he uses that word for everything...i think he kind of know what it means... he even comes up to me and grab my hand and takes me to whatever he wants help with. He recently learned to say "open". He says "oh" and then pen, it gets a lil lazy and he slurs it..at least he's trying! But one word he has down..."uh oh"! That's the only word that i know he knows the meaning to and says it correctly. It so cute when he says it. Probably won't be that cute when he gets older tho ;D

Max also likes to j u m p~! He's been trying for a few months now but he can actually lift himself off the floor now! Not that high yet~~he's still working on it :) Oh and last month he started putting the phone to his ear and yapping away~ he does that more and more now whenever he gets a hold of a toy phone or our cell. Oh yea. And he attached to me. Which is good and bad~ good cause i feel special..(muhehehe) and bad cause i can't get any work done or leave him with anyone. He even comes up to me look up at me and says "up" (op), so that i'll lift him up and hold him. <3 p="">

Oh Max, please stay little a little while longer! Don't grow up too fast! Mommy is not ready for it yet! :)

And out of all the toys, he choose to play with my felt balls that i haven't strung up yet. He likes to hide them in his drawer for some reason. lol. Just another fun day for Max~!
